Giant phantom jellyfish are about 30 ft long and live in the ocean’s midnight zone making them incredibly rare to see.

Captured on film by a remotely operated vehicle (ROV), this giant phantom jellyfish lives in the deep ocean at depths of 21,900 feet/ 6,665 meters.

Called the ocean’s midnight zone, this area lacks light, has a temperature around 39°F/ 4°C, is the single largest habitat on the planet, and contains 70% of all seawater.
