There was chatter around Congress of getting rid of Daylight Savings but the legislation never made it through.
The bill was reintroduced in 2023 so who knows what will happen.
The idea of Daylight Saving Time originated in a satirical article written by Benjamin Franklin telling Parisians to wake up at dawn.
But daylight saving time was adopted during the world wars for conservation purposes and not for farmers.
Changing the time of the clock does not affect the amount of daylight we recieve each day.
