Honeybees often die after they sting while bumblebees do not

Honeybees often die after they sting while bumblebees live. This is because the honeybee stinger is barbed and gets caught causing their abdomen to rip open as they try to fly away. However, bumblebees do not because they have a smooth stinger that doesn’t cause their abdomen to rip open. Allowing them to easily sting and fly away.
